Windows PowerShell Scripting

Windows PowerShell is Microsoft's interactive command shell and scripting language. Windows administrators can use Windows PowerShell with Windows XP, Windows Server 2003 and Windows Vista, plus it comes "in the box" with Windows Server 2008. But how do you get started with Windows PowerShell scripting? This topic page features Windows PowerShell tutorials and training, with advice on all the new commands and scripts for systems administrators. Beginners should be sure to check out our four-part screencast series on the basics of Windows PowerShell scripting, with examples of some of the new PowerShell commands, or cmdlets. For more advanced training, take a look at our Scripting School archive with Christa Anderson for bi-monthly tutorials on Windows PowerShell, with advice on the most useful PowerShell scripts for admins.
