QUESTION POSED ON: 05 October 2007
We've implemented Access-based Enumeration (ABE) on our Windows Server 2003 file servers. The users who access files in the folders located deep in the folder tree need to see the tree, but not necessarily the files in the intervening folders. If these users don't have permission to see up the folder tree, how can they navigate down the tree without a complicated security group structure to allow permissions?

EXPERT RESPONSE
To complete this assign the "Bypass traverse checking" user right via Group Policy.
