EXPERT RESPONSE
I've had this problem myself in other circumstances. When I take my laptop on the road with me, it looks for my LAN resources and doesn't find them (which takes a long time to time out). One of the best solutions to this sort of problem is a third-party application that lets you switch network profiles on the fly. One such program is SwitchPro, a shareware program; another is Net Profile Switch. If you set up multiple profiles, you can switch in and out of the needed network settings.
If you just want to remove the network reference entirely from your Network Places, just select "JSA" in the Microsoft Windows Network list and hit Delete. That should do the trick.
