QUESTION POSED ON: 02 May 2005
I locked down my Win2000 box and now the machine will not let me log in. It comes to the login box and I put in the password. Then the window that says "loading personal profile" comes up and then it goes back to the Windows login again. I've tried to use an emergency backup disk from another system, but the disk I made did not boot.

EXPERT RESPONSE
Well, it sure doesn't get more secure than that! Try booting into Safe Mode using the local Administrator credentials and restoring from backup. It's hard to give you specific advice without knowing what changes you've made.
