QUESTION POSED ON: 10 June 2004
Our OS is Win2K SP4, with all critical updates installed thru May 4, 2004. The machine is a Dell 640 laptop (Phoenix BIOS). The user occasionally gets a BSD (started Apr 29 04): Stop 0x00000077 Kernel_Stack_INPAGE_ERROR (0xC000000E, 0x00000000, 0x0020E000)
No new hardware or apps have been installed the last 2 months. I researched MS, could not find parameters listed; ran Diagnostics, all checked good (memory, HD, etc.)

EXPERT RESPONSE
This issue can occur when a requested page of kernel data cannot be read from the paging file into memory, or if you have a boot sector virus. For more information, check out Microsoft Knowledge Base Article 228753.
